Available Positions:
Counselors must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. The primary responsibility of a Camp Counselor is to manage a group of 15-20 campers each day as they participate in various camp activities and events. Lead Camp Counselor
Lead Counselors must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. Lead Counselors guide children through their daily activity schedule while encouraging and empowering them to participate in activities such as sports, music, art, swimming, and more. Lead counselors oversee the administrative aspects of group management including rosters, child specific plans, morning and afternoon meetings, lost and found, and child specific documentation. Lead counselors also take on an active role in mentoring and coaching the co-staff within their groups. While lead counselors do not directly supervise their co-staff, they are responsible for resolving disputes, implementing clear goals and effective protocols for the camper group, and supporting the development of their co-staff. The person in this position should feel confident in their abilities to manage camper behavior, navigate interpersonal conflicts with other staff, and assertively direct their group throughout the entirety of the camp day.

Trekkers Counselor
This role at Camp Three Rivers is a multi-faceted, fast-paced position. The Counselor for the Trekkers program must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. The Trekkers Program is Camp Three Rivers’ junior high school camp, serving students entering grades 7th and 8th. Each week, campers attend approximately 3-4 field trips around the area (typically within a 1 hour radius of Concord,MA).

Lead Counselor Trekkers
The Lead Counselor for the Trekker’s program must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. This role at Camp Three Rivers is a multi-faceted, fast-paced position. This person is responsible for supervision, instruction, and implementation of Trekker’s programs and trips. This person must also oversee staff and staff tasks, equipment, supplies and supervision of campers. Throughout the summer, the Trekkers Lead Counselor will be expected to have hands on role in mentoring staff while also developing rapport with each camper. The Trekkers Program is Camp Three Rivers junior high school camp program, serving students entering grades 7 and 8. Camp Specialist
This role is a very multi-faceted, fast-paced position. The Youth Program Specialist must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. The Youth Program Specialist will develop and prepare activity plans for 4-6 camp groups (~25 campers per group) per day, while assuring that activities are skill and age appropriate for campers entering grades K-6. Activity areas that must be planned daily include arts and crafts, music and drama, sports and games, and nature and outdoor education. In addition to these traditional interest areas, camp specialists may develop and facilitate any activity that is fun and age appropriate including other interests such as cooking, mindfulness, cultural learning, science, local history, engineering, weather etc. CLICK HERE TO APPLY!
Program Assistant
The Summer Camp Program Assistant must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy that campers come first, we work as a team, and summer is a time to play, learn, and grow. The Summer Camp Program Assistant is responsible for mentoring, coaching and assisting the Lead Counselor, Counselors, and Specialists of our camp program. The person in this position will be the first point of contact and support for four camper groups consisting of about 20 campers and 3 counselors each, divided by grade. This is a leadership position that requires maturity and ample experience both working with children and peers. The Program Assistant will be expected to independently resolve staff conflicts, manage camper behavior, provide guidance and teach youth development skills to the counseling staff. The person in this role will also be asked to assist with programmatic events, administrative tasks as needed, and to provide staff coverage in the case of absences. This position is supported by the Camp Director who will ensure that the Summer Camp Program Assistant is fully equipped to oversee their camper groups. CLICK HERE TO APPLY!
Inclusion Aid
The Concord Recreation Department’s Camp Three Rivers is looking for experienced, patient, and knowledgeable individuals to serve as inclusion aides for campers with physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities at summer camp. This aide will assist campers in bridging the social gaps between children with and without disabilities, actively facilitating friendships and assuring successful participation in all camp activities. Additionally, these aides will work with the Recreation Therapist, general summer staff, and parents to create child-specific success plans. Aides will work with different campers on a daily basis depending on the activities and the level of assistance required. This position will be supported by the Inclusion Program Director, Assistant Recreation Director and Camp Director and will be working collaboratively with an additional Inclusion Aide. Camp Nurse/Health Care Supervisor
A nursing role at Concord Recreation is a multi-faceted, fast paced position. Those in this role must love and embrace not only the camp environment but also the camp philosophy, which is that our campers come first, we work as a team, and campers are here to have fun! We strive to assure that all campers, regardless of their medical needs, are engaged in all camp activities while having the care and medication needs met. Nurses are responsible for assisting campers with all activities of daily living (toileting, eating, dressing, etc.) as well as dispensing medications, administering first aid for minor injuries, adhering to medication protocols, and assuring accurate record keeping. Nurses must communicate clearly with all staff, parents, and leadership staff to assure health and safety for all campers and staff.
